Electrical Service Technician
Job Description
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide the highest level of service with professionalism and a positive attitude to our customers.
- Must be a team player with strong work ethic, be self-motivated and possess strong communication skills.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical systems, machinery, process controls and Instrumentation.
- Troubleshoot AC/DC Motors and Drives, Motor Controls, Generators and Transformers.
- Work with Allen Bradley/Siemens and various other PLC/HMI platforms.
- Small project installations that require running conduit, size wire, and pull wires in accordance with regulations and codes for power distribution, controls and instrumentation.
- Read and work from blueprints and electrical schematics as well as be able to develop field markups for modifications on site.
Experience:
- Minimum of two years of electrical / controls related experience with working knowledge of basic motor control, AC & DC drives, and control subsystems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to analyze problems on industrial machinery, process controls Instrumentation and make needed repairs.
- Strong PLC and HMI/SCADA applications programming ability.
- Troubleshoot and make minor programming changes with Allen Bradley software.
- Programming knowledge is a plus, but we will train the right candidate.
Qualifications:
Must have valid MA & CT Journeyman/Journeywoman Licenses. Must have at least 2-5 years experience as an industrial electrician with industrial controls experience. Applicant needs to have the ability to work in inclement weather, stand, squat, bend, reach overhead, lift up to 50lbs, and climb ladders. Must be willing to work any shift, variable start times, including overtime, weekends, on-call and holidays as scheduled.
