Amp Electrical Inc. is a premier electrical contractor located in West Springfield, specializing in Electrical Contracting and Electrical Service We are searching for Commercial/Industrial Electrical people who want to contribute and grow with us. Prior Experience Necessary, MUST have MA License and would preferer either having CT license or be willing to get it in the near future. This is a permanent position as a member of our team.

Amp Electrical is looking to hire Massachusetts and Connecticut licensed electricians. Applicants who also hold licenses, or are willing to work towards holding licenses, in NH, VT, & ME are preferred. We have a growing, loyal customer base and always have a variety of intriguing projects going on. The scope of our projects includes, but is not limited to, commercial/industrial electrical installations, fire alarm, security, and low voltage systems. We also have a UL certified panel shop and can manufacture industrial control panels for our customers in-house.

Position Qualification Requirements:

Applicant must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid MA and/or CT Journeyman Electricians license required, with at least 3 – 7 years of prior Commercial Electrician experience. Must have strong work ethic as well as strong communication and problem-solving skills. Additionally, must be self-motivated, respectfully assertive, and have some computer skills. Applicant must be physically able to stand for the entire shift, squat, bend, reach overhead, climb ladders, do some heavy lifting, and work in inclement weather if necessary. Must be willing to work any shift. Start times vary, and you may be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. There is a rotating on call schedule that all Journeymen are part of. Applicant must own basic hand tools to start.

Position Responsibilities:

Work with a team, as well as subcontractors and customers · Promote & monitor adherence to OSHA safety standards on a daily basis · Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders · Maintain and manage project material inventories · Maintain time & production records (completion of daily logs, tasks, and planning sheets) · Work with your project manager to establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules · Inspect projects for conformance to company specifications and electrical codes · Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product · Plan wiring & installation of equipment · Ensure project budget and schedules are met · Analyze, and resolve work problems or assist workers in doing so · Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals · Interpret & enforce company policies to all workers · Promote positive company image to internal and external customers.
